A simple form from afar, wildly detailed the closer you get. Made from black walnut felled and milled on our land by us, this piece is personal. I (Audi) consider this one of the best benches I've made - without watching the clock, I hand chiseled several inlays (top + bottom), turned the legs and stretchers, and carefully shaped the beveled edge with hand tools. This is the kind of design that can only be achieved with careful and cautious hand work ... and a strong impulse to make stuff.
