One of a kind, multi-species end grain cutting boards. End grain is better for your knives, the round edges make this board easy to pick up, and the wood species were specifically chosen for their hardness and strength. About a year ago, we purchased a stack of lumber from a retired woodworker. In the stack were several boards of mahogany and cocobolo. These are sustainably sourced foreign timbers we don't often have the privilege of working with. This is the last run of pillow boards that will showcase cocobolo!
Board 1: hard maple, cocobolo, ash, walnut, and mahogany / 12.5" x 14.5" x 2"
Board 2: hard maple, white oak, ash, cocobolo, mahogany, walnut / 13.25" x 14.25" x 2"
Board 3: hard maple, cocobolo, ash, walnut, and mahogany / 14.25" x 16" x 2"
Board 4: hard maple, white oak, ash, cocobolo, mahogany, walnut / 14" x 15.25" x 2"
Finish is a mineral oil and wax combination, perfectly smooth + ready for cutting.
All boards are a hefty 2" thick.
Food safe finish, one of a kind, free shipping to the lower 48 states. When the finish begins to fade, rub on mineral oil - available at the grocery or drug store in the pharmacy. If you'd like something that lasts a bit longer and adds a wax finish, we also like Walrus Oil.
